China Franchise Expo 2010 is China's premier franchise expo showcasing hundreds of franchise concepts, and it is also an important annual event sponsored by China Chain Store & Franchise Association (CCFA), managed by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Beijing Sub-Council (CCPIT Beijing).

Domino's Pizza has re-entered the Singapore market through a Master Franchise agreement after a 10-year absence.

The USA-based pizza takeaway franchise has entered into an agreement with Domino's Pizza Singapore, a sister company of Domino's Pizza Malaysia which has been operating Domino Pizza locations in Malaysia since 1997.

USA-based quick service restaurant chain Carl's Jr is set to expand into Vietnam. CKE Restaurants Inc., Carl's Jr parent company, has sold the Vietnam Master Franchise rights for Carl's Jr to The Mesa Group.

As part of the franchise agreement The Mesa Group is set to open 25 Carl's Jr. locations in Vietnam, with the first due to be launched in Ho Cho Minh City this April.

Convenience store chain 7-Eleven plans to open 50 new stores in Shanghai this year, and aims to expand to 165 stores in the city within three years and 300 stores within five years, United Daily News reports quoting Hsu Chung-Jen, general manager of 7-Eleven operator President Chain Store Corporation (2912.TW). The convenience store chain currently operates 18 stores in Shanghai.
